# 12 Final Post

This 5 weeks has gone so fast I think it only being 5 weeks is the right amount of time.

The 3 things I liked best were Genealogy, Litlovers and Go Animate.

Gennealogy because it was fun and showed you how easy it was to do.

Litlovers had great reviews on a wide rang of books which will be good for when I pick bks for my housebound patron's. last but not least I had great fun with Go animate & was surpised on how quick it was . It is good going it with workmates as we help each other out so it has been a great team building exercise as well.

Looking forward to next years web 2

# 10 Socialising

I had a look at Newsvine & Digg and signed up with them

Digg is very user friendly and I like the way they have the no's next to the stories
Newsvine is great the way you can plug into what is going on in the world at that moment.
One of the stories I looked at was about Obama's Birth Certificate and how he as yet to show his orginal copy. I just throught get over it he is President and here to stay. Another one was about a guy who had lung cancer and how it took 1 week to start chemo but it took 6 weeks to find out if it was working and how they have found a way to test if chemo is working sooner by using a scaner.

# 9 Go animate

http://goanimate.com/go/movie/0K0uHo7iQO_A/1

I liked both of them but I think Go Anmate is more geared for Teenagers and Adults who are into graphics. Where as animoto is for anyone and would be great for staff to show different community groups the different services that libraries provide.

# 7 Bookjetty

I loved Bookjetty and found it very user friendy out of the 3 web site's, but in saying that I found some books I would love to read listed in Litlovers because of the reviews but not as easy to get around. Authors on the web will be great to recommend to our patron's as we get asked sometimes when their favourite author's book is coming

# 5 Litlovers

My Secret Life Of Bees is the bk I picked I first read it a year ago and decided to read it again as they have made it into a movie. I do not usually read american authors but this book had me from the 1st pg because of the mystery of what really happened to the main charaters mother. It's all about a girl in South Carolinain 1964 who is haunted by the memory of her late mother. To escape her lonely life & trobled relationshipwith her father she takes of with her African american caregiver.

# 6 Authours on the Web

http://writershouse.com/

Authoryellowpages is great and very user friendy I liked writershouse as it had listed all the books that have been put into movies. It answered a question for me, as I have always wondered if they had made a movie out of Eye of the needle a Ken follet bk and now I know they did.
